51. It is very important to care for our environment so as to save for the
future generation. The environment includes; plants, animals, insects
and non-living things such as water bodies, soil, animals and rocks.
There are many ways we can care for the environment. This can be
through afforestation and re- afforestation to protect flora and fauna,
poaching should be stopped to protect animals, disposing all wastes
in the right place to control pollution and terracing land in hilly areas
to control soil erosion.
It is dangerous if people do not protect the environment. This will
result into extinction of some animal species. This is evident when we
talk about the dinosaurs which existed many years ago but because
they were not cared for, they had to disappear completely and you
can hardly find their remains.
Misuse of the environment can also lead to disasters such as
landslides, floods, desertification and famine etc. The above disasters
have claimed many lives of people in many countries of the world.
Therefore, we all need to speak the same language in order to save
our environment.
