PLE courses

Each course unlocks every timed practice paper for one subject. Start with the free paper, then unlock full access when you're ready.

How it works

  1. Pick a subject. Open its course and start the free paper.
  2. Sit it like the real exam. A timer runs for the full PLE time, and the paper follows the UNEB sections and marks.
  3. See where you stand. Answers are marked the moment you submit, with an explanation for every question.

Frequently asked questions

Which subjects are examined at PLE?

Four papers: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies with Religious Education, where pupils answer either the Christian or the Islamic RE questions.

How long is each PLE paper?

Mathematics lasts 2 hours 30 minutes. English, Integrated Science and Social Studies last 2 hours 15 minutes each. Every paper is marked out of 100.

How are PLE divisions worked out?

Each paper gets a grade from 1 (best) to 9, and the four grades add up to the aggregate. Aggregates 4 to 12 give Division 1, 13 to 24 Division 2, 25 to 28 Division 3 and 29 to 32 Division 4.

Are these official UNEB past papers?

No. Gradezup papers are original practice papers written to the UNEB PLE format and the NCDC syllabus, modelled on the style and difficulty of UNEB past papers.

Can my child try a paper for free?

Yes. Each subject has a free paper. Buying a course unlocks the rest of that subject's papers, with lifetime access.
