PLE Math Practice Exams

PLE Math Practice Exams are original practice papers for the PLE Mathematics paper, written to the UNEB format and the NCDC Primary Seven syllabus. Like the real paper, each has a Section A of 20 questions and a Section B of 12 questions, marked out of 100 in 2 hours 30 minutes. They are modelled on UNEB past papers, not official UNEB papers.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is in the PLE Mathematics paper?

Section A has 20 questions and Section B has 12 questions. The paper is marked out of 100 and lasts 2 hours 30 minutes.

  • How are PLE divisions worked out?

Each paper gets a grade from 1 (best) to 9, and the four grades add up to the aggregate. Aggregates 4 to 12 give Division 1, 13 to 24 Division 2, 25 to 28 Division 3 and 29 to 32 Division 4.

  • Are these official UNEB past papers?

No. Gradezup papers are original practice papers written to the UNEB PLE format and the NCDC syllabus, modelled on the style and difficulty of UNEB past papers.

  • How many PLE Mathematics practice papers are there?

This course has 10 timed practice papers with 320+ questions. At least one paper is free to try, no payment needed. Unlocking full access opens every other paper, with lifetime access.

  • What do I get when I enrol?

10 timed practice papers, 320+ exam-standard questions in total, each one auto-marked the moment you submit, with a worked answer and the reasoning behind every option. Your scores are tracked across attempts so you can see what is improving.

  • Do I have to work through the papers in order?

No. Every paper in PLE – Math – practice exams unlocks as soon as you enrol, so you can start wherever you are weakest and retake any paper as often as you like.

  • How long do I have access?

Access does not expire. Once you enrol the course stays on your account, including any papers added to it later.

  • Can I pause a paper and finish it later?

Yes. Any paper can be paused mid-attempt and resumed from the same question, which makes short practice sessions workable.

  • What device do I need?

Any device with a browser — desktop, tablet or phone. There is nothing to install and nothing to download.

  • How close are these to the real PLE exam?

Every paper is written against the current PLE syllabus and mirrors the structure, question style and difficulty of the real exam, so practising here rehearses the exam itself rather than the topic in the abstract.

  • What is peer review?

Written answers cannot be auto-marked, so this course lets you submit yours for review by other learners working the same papers — and review theirs. Marking someone else against the rubric is usually the fastest way to see what an examiner is looking for.
